Care For Your Acrylic Brushes
Acrylic dries quickly, so rinse your brushes often while you are working on a painting. When you are finished painting wash your brushes with soap and water. Lay your brushes flat for drying. Standing a brush on its bristles will cause the hairs to bend at strange angles. Standing a brush on its handle will cause water to leak down into the ferrule, loosening the glue that holds the bristles together.
Note; the ferrule is the metal part of the brush that holds the bristles.
